Where to hit and where not to – Safety with the physical BDSM:

Written by: Len, former emergency nurse /massage therapist and Profossgbg translation by: Profossgbg

There are many things you have to take into account when it comes to having a safe BDSM session

Here are a few: THINK FIRST – PLAY AFTER

When you hit /Whip: Think – of where you hit and how.

NEVER hit on vital organs (liver, kidney, spleen) these are called “The blood-rich organs” that is, if you hit too hard or in a wrong way of these, they can break and then there is the risk that the person starts to bleed internally.

Muscle joints/tendons, you MUST be careful with those.

They are the weak points of the muscles and tendons and hitting hard or wrong there can cause the muscle/tendon to crack or even to break. In the list below, even if an area is marked with green, you must not forget that the skeleton can be damages by hard and unyielding tools such as sticks. In the text there is no general regard taken to pain levels.

Green – good area, can be hit on with the basic knowledge and continuous attention.

Yellow – you should have some practice or training strike there.

Red – Don’t hit in this area.

Foot: The top red, sole green. The sole of the foot has a lot of nerves endings but it’s hard to beat in a way that harms,

A suitable surface for those who want high pain perception.

Tool Tip: Small whip, Tawse or hand.

Calves: Green, but be careful with Achilles tendon where the muscle joints are.

Tool Tip: Tawse, slender cane, whip hand

Shin: Yellow, is thin and can be damaged.2/

Tool Tip: Whipping

Knee: Red

Back of thighs: Green all the way, one of the more suitable areas.

On the area just between the buttocks and thighs the skin is very thin which increases the level of pain.

Tool Tips: What do you like?

Front of thigh: Green like the back but think of the muscles.

Tool Tip: Whips, Tawse, thin cane, hand.

Genitals: Green, in addition to the higher pain levels, it is not actually very risky, we can call it green-yellow. With trampling (standing/walking on someone – yellow), a man’s testicles pull into the body and create very serious injury.

Tool Tip: A small whip, riding crop, clamps or tawse, snapping with fingers.

The buttocks:

Green, the central part for many, but be aware that each rear is unique.

Tool Tips: What do you like?

Lower back:

Red, from the tailbone up to where the ribs begin. Many of the blood-rich organs are located here and they can easily be damaged.

Upper Back: Green, from where the ribs begin to neck, just remember that unyielding tools can easily cause damage if hitting hard.

Tool Tip: All whips, one thing that some people appreciate is for example a cane in one hand, hold the other hand approximately five to ten cm over the submisives back, and strike quickly in between.

Neck/throat: Red

Head: Red, except for the cheeks which are yellow. A slap on the cheek can be particularly symbolic and thus important, a slap should not hit on the ear as the eardrum can be injured or on the eye as the cornea can become loose. You can slap your sub’s face, but keep an eye, take your time, and be careful where you hit.

Tool Tips: Hand

Chest: Green

Just remember that ovulation can affect the sensitivity of breasts up to two weeks.

You can even use a coarse cane, but there will be marks.

Tool Tip: A small whip, clamps, Tawse, hand, crop.

Belly: Yellow.

Many believe that it’s more sensitive than it is, and often mix the stomach area with the lower back. You need to be careful over the ovaries and vas deference, no heavy tools, but the area is excellent for use of lighter gear.

Tool Tip: Whips

Arms: Wrist, elbow and shoulder are red but otherwise the arm is green.

Tool Tip: Whip, Tawse hand, thin rattan

Hand: Palm is green but yellow for the fingers, keep in mind the risk of bone damage.

Tool Tip: Whip, Tawse, hand, thin rattan.

A few tips about the pain experience:

Breathe play, think yellow, if you use the hand on the neck, you really need to have the knowledge of where to place your fingers. You can cause a spasm of the trachea and it can often be fatal, and not something to play with. To place a hand over the mouth and nose is green, some may eventually pass out but you don’t take a risk that something stops working. As soon as you remove the hand, the sub will breathe again.

Breathe. A person who has given birth knows how to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Try to relax through long breaths. When you tense up it increases the sensation of pain. The pain is like building blocks, you have to take a piece at a time and not increase too quickly in order to get the long wonderful feeling. Discuss and get to know each other and don’t play if you are really drunk, you won’t be able to tell if something goes wrong.

When the body perceives pain it secretes a kind of defence mechanism, endorphins,

The body’s equivalent of morphine. One of the reasons to start slow, to warm up, is so the pain receptors in the body will have time to get started. It’s also important to keep an eye on your partner after a session, and as a submissive to be aware of all the emotions that can come rushing up to a day after a session that has lasted long.

After you stop playing and the endorphins stop flowing, the body can experience something resembling withdrawal. A mental drop with emotions in different levels. In some cases the emotions can be very deep, that is in general called a crash, or subdrop.

I wish you a lot of pleasure in your future sessions, take care of each other/ Len
